Round 2 was held in fine and sunny conditions at the Gawler Petanque Club. The turnout was lower than we’ve had for a couple of years, but a field of 22 teams was still more than enough for a great atmosphere and a strong contest. The round was notable for the fact that no team was able to get through all five games without loss – something that hasn’t happened in this competition for four years.

2021-2022 InterClub Competition Round 1 – Club de Petanque d’Adelaide – 26th September 2021
After a COVID cancellation in July, the new Interclub season finally got underway in September. The weather was nigh on perfect – a far cry from the raging storms which hit on the day that Round 1 was originally scheduled. SAPL InterClub 2021-2022 Round 1 – Photo Essay
The South Australian Petanque League commenced its 2021-2022 InterClub season after the InterCub Round, scheduled for 25th July 2021, was cancelled due to COVID restrictions. The tournament was hosted by the Club de Petanque d’Adelaide on Sunday 26th September 2021.
