Saturday the 15th of October 2022 was the formal opening of the facility following the recent completion of construction. The opening was performed by Kerry Lampard the Clare resident who masterminded the construction of the facility, Stan Wilson, President of the South Australian Petanque League (SAPL), and the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Mayor, Wayne Thomas.
