News from Clare

Led by Kerry Lampard, a group of enthusiasts from Clare have been working for a number of years to try to establish a Pétanque piste in the area. I am pleased to report that at last they have succeeded and have installed some pistes in Melrose Park, Clare bordering White Hutt Road near to where the model engineers run their trains on the second and fourth weekend of each month and also close to the BMX track.

The official opening is planned for the near future. The group who ably supported SAPL at the recent Auburn French Fest have not yet formed a club, but I understand that this on the cards.

If you would like to throw a boule or two the area is open to the public and you will be most welcome to use the new pistes.

Well done for your efforts and welcome to the SA Pétanque Community.
