Expressions of Interest for hosting International and National Events

The PFA Board seeks expression of interest for the following International and National events.

 A League or a club can apply for event

  •  Trans Tasman 2017 to be played in Australia Date March to May
  • PFA Petanque Carnival (Easter) Date 14 to 18 April 2017
    • This event will be held over 4 to 5 days at one venue and PFA would run

    • Shooting

    • Single

    • Double

    • Triple

  • PFA would consider holding event at same venue for 3 years.

  • PFA State Super 4 competition for 2017 –  Dates  2 – 3 September 2017

Petanque Federation Australia Membership Update – Email from PFA

Dear Members,
You would be thrilled to note that our membership has passed the 1600 mark and stands officially at 1604 as at the 5th April 2016 and more applications have just been received.

Please note the following for membership applications.
All new membership applications received from the date of the Annual General Meeting held at Bexley(March 25th 2016) will only be $10.This membership will expire on June 30th 2016 when memberships can be renewed. N.B. Members who have paid the $30 from the March 25th 2016 date will be credited $20 towards their membership for 2016-2017.Please forward this note to those new members who have joined recently.

PFA Notice to Members 2016 03 16 (email from T Dando)

  1. Reminder-AGM at Bexley  7pm March 25th 2016

The agenda has not changed. There are no notices of motion and two new Directors have been nominated and seconded-No election is required.

The two new directors are Jeff Langdon and Sandra Webb. Please find attached their resumes for your information. The board warmly welcomes them aboard.

  • Information regarding auditing is attached along with a report from Jenny Draddy(Legal advisor to PFA)

In relation to your query about an audit requirement I have attached the Institute of Chartered Accountants  Audit and Review Requirements for Australian Entities and below is the relevant section of the Corporations Law.  Clause 22.2 Auditor of the Constitution only applies if under the Corporations Act there was requirement or a direction from the members for an audit.  If the PFA revenue is under $250,000.00 it does not have to have the accounts audited unless directed by its members.
