Last - minute news **
Dear friends,
Chinese Taipei Federation and its leaders realized - just a little late ! - they had not the competences and the means to organize the next world championship in triplettes. They just inform us they renounce without giving one's attention about the consequences for the other federations, hidding themself behind secondary pretexts.
Before sending to you a more complete mail, I inform you at once about this decision in order that you stop your steps to organize your journey.

Qualifications at the continental level
Madam, Mister President,
I remain to you that, now, the participation in the world championships of triplettes needs qualifications at the continental level.
So the continental confederacies have to send to the FIPJP and to the organizers the names of qualified countries having made sure before they accept to participate. In case of negative answer it’s the job of the confederacies to indicate the replacements and, they have to inform all the countries if an acceptance is followed by a renunciation this country will be deprived of participation in the following continental championship, thus of qualification in the next world championship.
If confederacies have not done what's necessary yet, they need to do it before June 15th, otherwise the places which were assigned to them will be distributed between the other continents

Maghreb Championship of Petanque 19.5.2010
from 17 at June 20, 2010 in Agadir in Morocco
In close cooperation with the Moroccan Royal Federation of game of petanque, the Maghreb Championship of game of Petanque will take place of the 17 at June 20, 2010 in Agadir in Morocco. For this purpose, the national teams of Algeria - of Libya - of Mauritania - of Tunisia and Morocco will take part in this big demonstration”. This sporting event, in addition to its regional range will make it possible the Maghrebian elite to prepare actively with the next championship of the world of game of Petanque of Taiwan.

Dear pétanque friends,
The F.I.P.J.P. is proud to present to you our new website.
Now www.fipjp.com has a modern and dynamic design corresponding better with today´s pétanque. Our aim is to communicate with all those who are interested in our nice game with the help of modern technologies.The concept, design and development of the new website was realized in the Czech Republic in close cooperation with Karel Dohnal & Claude Stirmel & Jean Amiot.
On the website you find as usual:
- all the general information about the life of F.I.P.J.P.
- contacts to the members of the Executive Committee and all national federations
- history of pétanque and F.I.P.J.P.
- administration and sport documentation, statistics, practical links
- results of all world championships including photos
- new sections: „TOURNAMENTS IN THE WORLD“ and „OTHER INFORMATION“
1st news – „TOURNAMENTS IN THE WORLD“ – in this section you can add the tournaments you are planning and organising. This means of communication will allow to help all the players of pétanque to choose and put into the agenda their favourite tournaments. The subscription is realized on a base of login and keyword which you can get from the official representatives of the national federation. You can have more persons allowed to enter the tournament details but always it has to go through the national federation and to be confirmed by F.I.P.J.P. The seriosity of the subscription of the tournament is guarranteed by each national federation.
All the tournaments will be classed so that the visitor of the websit will be able to filter according to his preferences (country, date, level, etc.). This will help him to choose the tournament adapted to his needs for example during his holiday visit to a foreign country.
2nd news – „OTHER INFORMATIONS“ – is a section which can be still modified easily. It will help us to communicate various events or subjects which will help you in your mission and also to promote pétanque in your country. In this section you´ll find different points which will be fulfilled by the commissions of F.I.P.J.P. to the federations of the whole world.
Example: now you can find here information from Victor Nataf about the education under the management of F.I.P.J.P. or all the information of the IT commission about the management of a tournament with the SWISS system. You can upload for free the last version of the software used on the World Championship of Juniors in Monastir (Tunisia).
In the section of the „NEWS“ you´ll be informed about all the important changes and updates

If you have some interesting information, photos, newspaper of magazine articles or any other documents related to the World Championships between 1960 – 1969, please send it to us in order that we could complete these pages. And if you are interested to participate on the content of the website, on the update of articles and sections, with the translation between the French and English etc, please write to us. We´ll be more than happy to cooperate with you and enlarge our small team!
