2023-2024 InterClub Competition Round 1 – Eastern Suburbs Petanque Club – 30th July 2023
The first round of the new InterClub season was held at Eastern Suburbs in cloudy but fine conditions. However, recent rain ensured that there was a spring in the step of the challenging ESP terrain. SAPL CALENDAR 2023-2024 – UPDATE
The South Australian Petanque League Calendar for 2023-2024 has been updated to version 1.4 to accommodate the following change:
Due to a previous commitment made by Novar Gardens Petanque Club which makes the club unavailable, the Jonny’s Popcorn round 3 scheduled for August 13th 2023 will have to move to the long weekend in January (28th January 2024 where there are no other club events scheduled), making December 10th Round 3, 28th January Round 4 and 26th May remains as Round 5.
These changes have been incorporated into the South Australian Petanque League Calendar for 2023-2024 (version 1.4) which has been uploaded to the Calendar page.

2022-2023 InterClub Competition Round 6 – Novar Gardens Petanque Club – 28th May 2023
Round 6 was another wet one, with several periods of rain during the middle of the day. But no amount of rain would have been enough to dampen the enthusiasm of the 32 teams that took part in what was the final and deciding round of the Interclub competition. The stakes were high, as there were five clubs still in with a chance of winning the championship – something we’ve never seen before (and may never see again). Fortunately, the showers stopped just in time to avoid rendering many of the pistes unplayable. Continue reading
